Our First School Visit
GULP – OUR FIRST BOTTLES FOR SCHOOLS EDUCATION VISIT.
On Thursday the 13thof February George the founder of Gulp bottles went to Baldwins gate primary school in Staffordshire to deliver a plastic awareness presentation to a class of (15) children.
The presentation showed the children the affects that plastic pollution is having on the planet and our oceans. After some education a quiz was held allowing the children to work in teams to guess the correct answers and to come together to think of solutions and alternatives to single use plastic waste.

GULP AT THE NEC BIRMINGHAM (SPRING FAIR)
From the 2nd – 6th of February 2020 Gulp took part in the Spring Fair at the NEC in Birmingham where we hosted our first stand. It was a fantastic week and we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to see us there and took an interest in our reusable bottles.
It was great to get our message out in front of a large audience and to talk to them about reducing single use plastic waste.

WHAT DAMAGE IS PLASTIC CAUSING TO OUR LAND AND OCEANS?
Plastic has toxic pollutants hat damage the environment and cause land, water and air pollution. It can take hundreds or even thousands of years for plastic to break down, so the damage to the environment is long lasting.
The studies reveal that around 12.7 million tonnes of plastic waste are washed into the ocean every year. Sea life and birds are then dying as a result of entanglement or poisoning.

BPA stands for Bisphenol A, it is an industrial chemical that has been used to make certain plastics and resins since the 1960s. BPA is found in the hard plastic bottles that many people use everyday!
*BPA can imitate the body’s hormones and it can interfere with the production, secretion, transport, action, function and elimination of natural hormones.
